About this site
This site is a small collection of free tools for designers and anyone who works with images and design files. It is a one-person project: the same developer decides what gets built, writes it, and reads the mail that comes back.
Every tool runs inside your browser, compiled to WebAssembly. That is a decision, not an accident of the stack. Design files are rarely neutral — a client logo before the announcement, a layout still under NDA, a pitch nobody outside the room has seen. Sending that kind of file to someone else’s server is a risk in its own right, however carefully the privacy policy is written. The safest server is the one that never receives the file, so there is no upload here at all.
That choice has a price, and it is worth stating plainly rather than burying. Your own machine does the work: a very large file can be slow, AVIF encoding takes real time, and a phone will run out of memory on artwork a desktop handles without complaint. A server would be faster in exactly those moments. It would also mean handing over the file, which for this kind of work is the wrong end of the trade.
Ads on the pages cover the running costs. That is what keeps every tool free, with no account, no file limits and no watermarks.
Found a bug, or wish a tool existed? We’d genuinely like to hear about it.
New guides go up regularly — hitting a fixed file-size target, why text disappears from a converted .ai file, what the DPI tag in an image actually promises. They are written from the same measurements the tools are built on, so they say what happened rather than what ought to. The guides index lists all of them.
